New Toshiba Portégé M780 Multitouch Convertible Tablet powered by Intel Core i3, i5
Having especially mobile consumers such as ones working in service sector (and in between the lines, the clumsy ones among us) in mind, Toshiba seems to have tried to make this model as robust as possible with such measures as accelerometer 3D to protect the HDD, a liquid-resistant keyboard as well as a shock-resistant case (up to 1 meter). However, the weight doesn’t seem to be that favorable as being around 2.0 kg.
It features a rotating monitor, Intel Core i3 or i5 CPU, up to 8GB of DDR3 (1066MHz) RAM, 2,5” HDD with support for SSD, 12” LED-backlit HD TruBriteTouch (1200x800p) display , DVD Super Multi-drive, 2 USB 2.0 Sleep-and-Charge, eSATA port, WLAN (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR connectivity and it run on WIndows 7. Last but not the least, it measures 305 x 239 x 37,4 / 39,4 mm.
It will reportedly be available Second quarter of 2010 in Europe, Middle East and Africa. No word on pricing.
