Fujisoft PALRO (Palrobot) humanoid robot powered by Intel Atom CPU soon to be available on market in Japan

Our new robot companion is 39.8 cm tall and weighs 1.6 kg. It is equipped with Intel Atom 1.6GHz CPU, 1 GB internal memory, 4 GB flash memory, Ubuntu OS, 3 MP camera, Wi-Fi IEE 802.11 b/g/n, USB Port and 7.4V/2,800mAh lithium ion battery.

Initially Fujisoft will start selling them to research institutes on March 15 and sometime within this year will offer it to consumers for about 300,000 yen.
