If you want to buy a Keitai phone please try on Ebay Canada, Ebay USA and Ebay Singapore. There are a few Keitai shops in the USA/ Canada and Singapore, however they provide no warranty and you must use HyperSIM card adaptor to enable your phone pair with GSM operating frequency. NTT DoCoMo phones are the best choice as once they are unlocked they cannot be locked back. Softbank mobiles relock automatically time after time and if it happens you cannot unlock them back forever.
There are only TWO non-operator keitai phones released in the last 3 years. Both are Sharp models and both engineered exclusively for GSM network of China. You can vuy them on Ebay for approx. US $700. And lastly- AU/ KDDI phones won’t work outside Japan on GSM networks AT ALL. Sorry.
