Today, KDDI and iida were introducing during a press conference in Omote-Sando in Tokyo, their new line-up of mobile phone, with the mobile phone ‘Lotta’, that means a lot of fun…
Produced by Kyocera, this new Handset is what we can call a real phone, made to call and send mail. Nothing really superfluous here, this new Lotta attract by its simple design… Available in 3 different flavors: White, Green, and Yellow, the Lotta mobile phone features a 2.8 inch LCD screen (260 000 colors), another Organic EL screen on the top of body which will display basic info, like the hour.
It comes with a module Camera of 1.97 Megapixel, as well as microSDHC card slot (compatible up to 16GB). No OneSeg TV Tuner, or Bluetooth, but the usual GPS function, and eWallet function.

Too bad…Au Kddi no introduce smart tecnology in your line up products…just old fashioned tecnology…Comparing with Softbank and Docomo…Kddi looks like a toy phones….Iphone Birth the 3G in Softbank…And Docomo introduce the Android Plataform with the HTC model and become the Sony Ericson Xperia X10….

Where can I buy this phone from, outside of Japan? I’ve been looking everywhere and couldn’t find anything. Is there any news that it’s gonna be released internationally or something?

  Everything that includes a BATTERY is restricted for shipping outside Japan (save for the commercial export). This condition is implemented by Japan Post.
  If you want to buy a Keitai phone please try on Ebay Canada, Ebay USA and Ebay Singapore. There are a few Keitai shops in the USA/ Canada and Singapore, however they provide no warranty and you must use HyperSIM card adaptor to enable your phone pair with GSM operating frequency. NTT DoCoMo phones are the best choice as once they are unlocked they cannot be locked back. Softbank mobiles relock automatically time after time and if it happens you cannot unlock them back forever.
  There are only TWO non-operator keitai phones released in the last 3 years. Both are Sharp models and both engineered exclusively for GSM network of China. You can vuy them on Ebay for approx. US $700. And lastly- AU/ KDDI phones won’t work outside Japan on GSM networks AT ALL. Sorry.
