Hanvon launched N618 e-book reader boasting handwriting recognition technology
Hanvon launched today in China its new e-book reader with 6 inch e-paper display, the N618, which is actually one of the five models Hanvon introduced during CES 2010 in its WISEreader line. Distinguished from other e-book brands with its handwriting recognition technology, N618 also features Wi-Fi connectivity, 3.5mm headphone jack, 320MB onboard storage, 4GB SD card and up to 16GB extendable memory. It can support TXT, HTXT, HTML, PDF, DOC, XLS format e-books; JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, TIF image files and can also playback MP3, WAV, WMA audio files.
Sold in China for 3380 Yuan (about $497 USD).
