Buffalo HDD Dualie, is an iPhone Dock with 500GB of HDD

Well for once this News from Buffalo is not coming from the Japanese HQ, but from the US Office of Buffalo and targeted to be sold only in the US or A. Now I have to admit that I am quite interesting in this HDD Dualie. Basically this product is your average iPhone Dock with a USB connector allowing to both charge your iPhone and sync it with a 500GB HDD in its back connected to your computer via FireWire 800.

Now to make things even weirder, it seems that Buffalo US offer this product for Mac Owners only with an HFS+ formatted HDD by default (PC cannot read HSF+ HDDs without some tweaks)… Anyway once you formatted this HDD in NTFS you will be capable to use it on any kind of PC featuring a FireWire 800 port…

Is it certain that this isn’t coming out in Japan yet? If so, I find it amusing that the publicity stills clearly show an iPhone with Japanese characters on the home screen.
