But just hold a second, not only our new notebook is quite slim light and powerful, but also features a 1.3Mpix We Camera, Wifi, SRS TruSurround HD audio, and 3G with HSDPA support… Ghaaa… Me Likey
LG Electronics (LG), a global leader and technology innovator in mobile communications, unveiled its ultra-thin premium mobile PC, LG X300, at CES 2010 in Las Vegas.
The LG X300 offers the sleekest and most stylish look and feel ever for fashion-conscious road warriors. This premium mobile PC tips the scales at a mere 970g and is only 17.6mm thick for the ultimate in portability.
“LG has secured design leadership by delivering the most sophisticated mobile devices to delight our consumers,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “The LG X300 boasts an ultra-slim and durable exterior without any sacrifice of functionality and performance and is further evidence of our technological leadership in mobile computing devices.”
The LG X300 boasts a collection of refined and elegant design features. The sleek but wide 11.6-inch LCD eschews a bezel to maximize viewing area and is offered with a distinctive white and light brown patterned lid to suit the most style-conscious users. The unique keyboard is reflective and the borderless touchpad features hidden lighting and tactile feedback.
The LG X300 is based on a 2.0 GHz Intel Menlow platform with up to 2GB memory and a solid state drive (SSD) instead of a hard disk. The X300 ships with a spare 2-cell battery to provide up to seven hours’ operation and the fanless, silent operation makes the X300 the ideal companion for the truly demanding mobile user.
LG’s Smart Pack, the smartest software suite for notebook and mobile PC users, will be offered on the LG X300. The newly-added Smart POP automatically synchronizes personal information management (PIM) data from the mobile device to the PC over Bluetooth and an alert feature enables users to directly read or reply to an SMS via the LG X300 without having to touch a mobile phone.
An upgraded version of Smart On provides seamless access to e-mail and boots to allow a menu of frequently used functions in only five seconds. Smart Recovery and Smart Care features also help keep the machine running at peak efficiency – even for novice users.
The LG X300 packs multimedia technologies including a 1.3-megapixel webcam with the You-Cam viewer for video chatting and conferencing and SRS TruSurround HD sound for rich audio. Thanks to an embedded 3G modem chipset, the user can easily get online via GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, or HSDPA networks.
