New SONY BLOGGIE Portable Cameras, a.k.a. the MHS-CM5 and MHS-PM5, offer you easy and handy options to enjoy shooting full high definition (1920×1080) MP4 videos and 5-megapixel still pictures and sharing them on the web online via the device’s embedded software and built-in USB arm. Both cameras feature Face Detection technology, are charged with the USB arm and capable of recording video and still images directly to Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD and SDHC media.

The MHS-CM5 camera mainly features a “pistol-grip” vertical design with a a large flip-out 2.5” (measured diagonally) LCD screen, 5x optical zoom and HDMI out whereas, the ultra-compact, lightweight MHS-PM5 camera features 2.4″ (measured diagonally) LCD with full-screen, 4x digital zoom, a rotating lens that swivels 270 degrees , and SteadyShot image stabilization (cannot be used in 1920×1080/30p and 1280×720/60p recording modes) to reduce shake and offered in four colors dark purple, blue, pink, and white.

The final highlight is Sony also provides a bundled kit option, the MHS-PM5K,that includes lens that once you attach to your bloggie camera captures 360-degree footage that can be viewed on a computer with the supplied PMB (Picture Motion Browser) software.
