New Ultraperformance Sony Notebooks, Vaio Z and Vaio F series
New Vaio Z series feature durable carbon-fiber aluminum chassis, 13.1-inch (diagonal) high-resolution LED backlight screen, optional Blu-ray Disc (BD) optical drive, HDMI output and since the models in this series come in solid state drive (SSD) (up to 512 GB), they can offer rapid boot-up and quicker access to applications unlike the case with standard hard drives. Among other highlights are dynamic hybrid graphics system that allow you to control energy consumption to extend your battery life, Wi-Fi(802.11n), Bluetooth and integrated wireless 3G Mobile Broadband technology provided by Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband (service provided in return for Verizon service subscription fee).
Vaio F series feature a 16.4-inch (diagonal) screen, Intel Core i7 Processor with 4 cores, an optional Blu-ray Disc optical drive, HDMI output connector, NVIDIA GeForce dedicated graphics card as well as incorporating Sony’s own Transfer Jet technology (some models) enabling you to wirelessly transfer digital photos from select transfer-jet enabled digital cameras by only placing your camera on the palm rest.
Both Vaio Z and F series have incorporate backlit keyboards and an assist button that links directly to VAIO Care software. The Z Series comes with Windows 7 Professional operating system whereas the F Series comes with Windows Home Premium 64-Bit operating system.
