Play golf with your phone

This is not a new product, but I never talked about it, so here we go. In Japan, everybody (or almost everybody) plays golf. I can see them on a Sunday, and it’s quite hilarious (I played for many years myself, and in all honesty, I’m not too bad at the game). So the Japanese like the game, they like mobile phones and they like video games. Vodafone Japan unites these three passions in a very interesting concept. You can play in virtual game of golf in the street or at home with your phone (better do this at home, just to avoid looking like a fool). It’s very simple: you start the game on your phone and at the start of the first hole, you take the phone in your hands like you would take a driver (a golf club) in your hands, and you make your swing whilst holding the phone in your hand. Once the swing is finished, you check the screen of your phone to see where the ball is flying off to and by repeating the swings, you basically end up with the ball in the hole. If you have achieved this goal, there are 17 holes more to clear.
So, try to imagine how this looks: you walk on the street and you see a guy preparing for his approach on hole 12… in the middle of Paris/New York/Bombay/… Even with a plain Bluetooth headset you look like an alien, but this is a whole other ballgame! Go Japan GO!!

As you can see on the pictures, you get on-screen instructions on how to be the Tiger Woods of the small screen and use your Titlesit to the max!
