As we are on the verge of entering the new year, some companies have rushed to present products if not totally new but at least upgrades of some of their existing models obviously keeping brand-new for the New Year. And Kenwood proves to be no exception to this trend. Announced today, this new member U-K323LT is actually an upgrade of its Compact K series Hi Fi U-K323, which Kenwood had launched in the end of March this year. Maintaining the same features of the U-K323, Kenwood refurbished the Hi-Fi by offering a hybrid design that uses both aluminum and wood claiming that this combination helps control vibration hence provides better sound quality. The other new aspect, which also helped them achieve high quality playback, is the insertion of a certain type of acoustic-absorbing material between the aluminum case and MDF speaker cabinet.

For those of you who would be interested with design details: They also emphasize that the wood that they used is a special type known as Mutenye Wood native to Africa which is being used in high-class furnitures.
