Sony partnering Dow Jones & Company and New York Post to offer exclusive content for Sony Reader Daily Edition

Sony’s latest member joining its family of digital readers (Reader Pocket Edition and Reader Touch Edition), the Reader Daily Edition features 7 inch touchscreen, 0.6” thin and weighs only 12.75 ounces…It allows you to browse and download books from the Reader Store using free 3G wireless service. You not only have access to free public domain titles in Google books as it supports multiple formats such as ePub/ACS4, PDF, Microsoft Word and BBeB a but also to the the e-book collection of your local public library (in the US). Thanks to its E Ink Vizplex screen technology which gives it a real ink-on-paper look, it promises comfy reading even under sunlight together with the screen’s high contrats ratio of 16 levels of grayscale rendering a crisp-clear image.
The cream going on top of this brand-new Sony beauty is the latest news (yesterday) about Sony’s special agreement with DOW Jones and Company to offer exclusive content from The Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch as well as its deal with the New York Post to deliver the only available version of the newspaper for digital readers.
Reader Daily Edition is announced to be available for pre-sale at Sony Style Stores and online at SonyStyle.com for $ 400, whereas the aforementioned offerings from Dow Jones and the New York will soon be available in Sony’s newly branded Reader Store online.
