Video Game Company crying after been pirated, but ignore others copyrights

I never had any sympathy for video games companies in the past due to their lack of moral standards and too often outrageously expensive poorly designed games and today’s event won’t change my mind anytime soon.

Pastagames, which just recently released a nice Nintendo DS game called Maestro Jump in Music, a very original game that seems to be very popular now… However, they also realized that their game is now widely available on the Internet and can be download for free… Sad and disappointed by this, the company decided to write a nice little post on their blog about it : Pirates! and the winner is rom 4454!, complaining about Pirates and that this “poor” company development is somehow slowed by this problem…

If so far I have nothing against this company and their Story, I am quite surprise to see that they are just as bad as the Pirates they are complaining about… Why you may ask me? Well simply they stole one of AkihabraNews.com pitcutre of Pop-up the Pirate with your Logo on it and dit not EVEN bother linking us or acknowledging where this picture is coming from and who’s owns the copyright of this picture…

So really guys, before crying that someone is stilling your art, just make sure you are not doing the very same to others !

Update : It seems that our picture has been removed, but we are still waiting for a kind mail from their side about what happened…

I’m sure they’re sorry for using your image, though there’s a certain fair-use element there. But how about you actually write about their problem rather than whingeing about a picture that’s hardly the most creative in the world…
