NTT East Japan, Free trial of Hikari i-Frame

Since when the news of Android-powered tablet PC (a.k.a Hikari i-Frame) by NTT East Japan was launched, it has already acquired fame among many even before it has hit the Japanese market. This hybrid device (PC + Digital Photo Frame) featuring above all 7-inch touch panel display, alarm clock, USB port, SD memory card slot, various content categories covering all the info necessary in daily life such as news, weather info, transportation, calendar and cooking recipes, as well as being able to connect to internet through its Wi-Fi port, seems to target to be the new companion of many in Japan. As what it also seems to be part of the strategy to do so, NTT East launched a campaign early this month giving the chance to 1000 people from among the applicants to be able to test the product and provide feedback by filling in the designated questionnaires. The application deadline is announced to be November 31 and information regarding the applications can be obtained via NTT East’s dedicated website widgets-tr.jp, whereas the trial period is scheduled to be December 2009-March 3, 2010.
