I love that Apple keeps the iPhone closed, Jailbreak Expert George Hotz
That iPhone opened a whole new era is beyond doubt, but that it created a brand new profession for many people already is another positive side of it, it seems: Jailbreaking. On a recent CNN interview, George Hotz, the 20 year old phenomenal guy who managed to first unlock the i-Phone when he was 17, makes interesting statements such as “This is a personal hobby; it’d be no fun if Apple didn’t have it closed anymore. Get a Jailbreak cop and then I’ll show them what I can really do.” and also proudly declares ” he’s already discovered a brand new exploit that will jailbreak and unlock Apple’s fourth-generation iPhone — presumably due in stores summer of 2010 — even though he hasn’t touched it” . Apart from being “inspirational”, the article www.edition.cnn.com is a really good source for those who are willing to thoroughly explore the contemporary jailbreaking saga of our contemporary Brave Heart.
Can’t help thinking, as jailbreaking already made it to be the new buzz word in our lexicon, the story’s becoming a hit screenplay at the movie theaters does seem very likely indeed.

Jailbreaking is a process that allows iPhone and iPod Touch users to run unofficial code on their devices bypassing Apple’s official distribution mechanism, the Apple Store. (via Wikipedia)
