Let’s Visit Tokyo – Omori Kaigan Kouen

Let’s Visit Tokyo - Omori Kaigan Kouen

Just a few blocks away from our Office in Japan, and from Nismo HQ, there is a little public park lost between buildings, Highways and so on.
The park by itself has nothing really special, however, the people visiting the park is the most interesting “attraction”. Like our previous video Let’s Visit Tokyo – Togoshi Ginza, Omori Kaigan Kouen is a “popular” parc where everyday Japanese people are going.
Omori is also a quite “old” area, where many seniors are living, it is not rare then to see many seniors walking around, for either taking some rest, reading, sleeping, feeding the birds or doing some exercises.

The Week-end, Omori Kaigan Kouen, see another kind of population, younger and with kinds. Since our park is close to an “Hippodrome” where many horse racing are taking place, as well as for the summer, the base camp for the Tokyo Bay Pirates, which are racing against each other on tiny little speed boat, funny show but also impressive…

I’ve seen a couple of these videos, but there’s something that I’ve always wondered about.
Considering that the Japanese are somewhat fanatic about their privacy (or so I’ve heard), don’t they sometimes make a fuss about being filmed in public just like that?
And, the camera itself, is it hidden somewhere, or is there a cameraman near it? I’m just asking because more often than not, I see the people just walking by, apparently not noticing that they’re being filmed *-)

Love those videos… They are main reason for me to stick around your website ^^. Please keep them coming! They’re what internet has been missing all these years!

I’m guessing he’s shooting from a fair distance with wide angle zoom because people get blurred out pretty quickly when they “walk into” the camera in the other videos. It’s also too close to the water to be safe, lol.
