The much thinner, lighter 004 is rather too thin to support a larger camera w/ appropriate lens. The flip cover is very wobbly on the 004. I would not recommend it.

The 003 is a far superior unit. Much more rugged. Also the video is VGA. And it has TV tuner as well. Just holding the two in comparison the superior build quality of the 003 over the 004 is apparent.
