Toshiba Cell REGZA LCD TV, announced ahead of CEATEC

Tomorrow both Kei and I will crawl around the booths at CEATEC and will have the pleasure of discovering Toshiba latest wonder, the CELL REGZA TV 55X1.

Recently announced in Japan the TV features the same Cell Technology (Cell) as the PS3 (with probably some differences). Don’t expect to play PS3 games directly on a 55X1, but you’ll get amazing video and audio performance thanks to the Cell.

It’s a 55” LCD featuring a 240Hz panel and an amazing 5000000:1 contrast ratio (dynamic), LED backlight, a 1250cd/m2 brightness, 3TB of HDD, Dual TV Tuner (digital and analog), DLNA and so on…

Stay tuned, we’ll be giving you live details on the beast tomorrow!

Impressive! I wonder how long will it take ( if this gonna happen in the first place) to get this baby to Europe. I’d definitely buy it!
