Buffalo’s New Wireless N Router with USB HSDPA Card Combo

Behold the DWR-HP-G300N, Buffalo’s latest N wireless router, with Gigabit Hub… So far nothing amazing, since it does pretty much everything that other Buffalo routers do… The huge difference is the addition of a nice little 3G data USB dongle… Yep you are reading this right, depending of your ISP in Japan, once you install your router to connect to the internet, it will automatically forward all required information to your USB dongle (you need your ISP provider to send you a SIM card). Now you can use your dongle outside of your router coverage, and surf in 3G.

Note that depending on your ISP additional ridiculously low fees may apply (OCN and E-Mobile offers a 700 yen (€5.35) plan with a maximum of 5000 Yen (€39) for an unlimited and unrestricted data plan here in Japan).

It’s really cool! It makes setting up security on your wireless router a snap. I will buy a Buffalotech wireless router online.
