[TGS09] Ace Combat Xi… The Ultimate Dog-fighting Game on Your iPhone

The first thing we came across at TGS 2009 was Ace Combat Xi for iPhone… I’m a HUGE fan of the series (I finished them all, even the lame one sold for the PSP). Of course the game we played wasn’t the final version and I couldn’t play it for long (people started to queue up behind me). Installed on a 3GS it was fantastically smooth and easy to play, you have to get used to using your fingers instead of a gamepad. Even with fingers the game is smooth, fast and very responsive.

As a 3G owner, I asked the staff about pref on the old 3G. They told me they are trying to make it run as smoothly on the 3G as it runs on the 3GS. I felt like this was more of a marketing speech rather than truth…

We shall see!
