Let’s Visit Tokyo – Nijubashimae

Most of you have heard about Ginza, a luxury district where the most famous brands from all over the world compete with each other. For many Ginza is the Japanese equivalent of the Champs-Élysées. If indeed the Champs-Élysées is a gorgeous street it’s also by far the lamest place to do your shopping and Ginza is ever worse since the main street is quite ugly and narrow… Now if you’re in and want to do your shopping in Tokyo there are many different places, like Daikan-Yama , as well as Nijubashimae.
Nijubashimae is located between Tokyo Central Station, Kokyo Gaien and Marunochi (See Map Below).
I like Nijubashimae since it reminds me a lot of Paris, with its “Café Terasse” little store like at “Le Marais”. Definitly not a tourist area like Ginza, the Nijubashimae district is where Japanese go for their shopping (Brooks Brothers, OLD ENGLAND…) and have a good lunch/dinner.
