You may remember this article regarding the Apple Loan Box of Mysteries… And less than a week later we have a scary update.

Since we were refused the Apple Loan, as well as other test subjects, we all began receiving scam email and phone calls, either asking us to contact a company (see below) to pay for a certain service, or phone calls from companies trying to sell use products and services. In today’s case it was a funeral service company.

It’s interesting to note that most of the time the callers aren’t based in Japan, but overseas and speak poor Japanese.

Since our last article we forwarded many question and the above statement to Apple Japan… As of now we haven’t received a reply to our email… So the question I have in mind now is simple. Is Apple Japan in anyway related to the Japanese organized crime, or are they also a victim here? And if they’re a victim, why don’t they get back to us to work on solving this problem.
