you bought an intel core i7 860 three months ago when the product is released worldwide on september 8, 2009.

its also called DVD drive not player.
dvd players are the ones you connect to a television to watch dvd movies.

only explanation i can think of about your situation is you bought 4 parts
Intel i7 920
Geforce GTX 260
X58 motherboard
and 3GB ram set.
