Is this an official announcement? do you have a source?
Official android on the Smart Q5 is great it jsut needs polishing and support for the I/O.
Exciting.
I hope this will be available officially and not just through GS4U. The most attaractive thing about this is the price. If it is under 15,000 Yen its nice. Stuff in GS4U is usually overpriced.
Hello,
I just bought a smartq5 (thanks dealextreme.com). Two things to know:
- device is not like on pictures, seems to be “cheaper”
- OS is either wince or ubuntu karmic. No android, though some people are trying to port it on it. Same for maemo, some people are trying to port it on smartq5 devices, but it seems hardware is a bit bad.
But I really enjoy this device, though ubuntu is a bit slow (well…. it’s ubuntu, don’t dream, it’s too heavy!)
