Sony Introduces Their Alpha 500 and Alpha 550 DSLR

There were some rumors about new Sony’s DSLR on the Internet, and yesterday Sony made them official.
Here’s the all new Alpha 500 and Alpha 550. Both got a new CMOS Exmor Sensor for improved results in low light, and a BIONZ Image Processor.

Both the Alpha 500 (12.3 Mpix sensor) and Alpha 550 (14.7Mpix sensor), feature a 3-inch LCD monitor with an improved Live-View Mode with many features (you can tilt it 90 degrees up or down, Quick AutoFocus, Smile Shutter…), an ISO range going up to ISO 12800, a shooting speed of 5fps (α500) and 7fps (α550), an in-camera High Dynamic Range (HDR) feature for capturing highlights and shadows, which processes the image within two seconds, a the SteadyShot INSIDE™ image stabilization which is built into the camera body itself, a HDMI output, and a SD/SDHC & MS Pro Duo Slot.

Unfortunately Sony didn’t integrate Video Recording Mode for these mid-range DSLRs.

Price:
