Sony Releases Five New Blu-ray DVRs in Japan, Hands-On

Here’s the BDZ-EX200 (two digital tuners, 2TB of HDD, Blu-ray recorder and PSP support), the BDZ-RX100 (two digitaltuner, 1TB of HDD, Blu-ray recorder and PSP support), the BDZ-EX50 (two digital tuners, 500GB of HDD, Blu-ray recorder and PSP support), the BDZ-EX30 (two digital tuner, 320GB of HDD and Blu-ray recorder) and the BDZ-RS10 (one digital tuner, 320GB of HDD and Blu-ray recorder).
Other improvements include a new CREAS 2 Engine with improved video quality and better up-scaling support, and a new and improved Dynamic VBR for better video recording. We are on our way now to the 4Pm press conference at Sony HQ and will get back to you with live photos and may update this news later on…
Update The BDZ-EX200 / RX100 / RX50 / RX3 happens to be DLNA, and as the PSP compatible ones they convert up 1hr worth of video in less than 2 minutes to be played on a PSP or a X-1000 Series DAP.
