Best SLR ever produced. You also didnt even mention the difference in AF systems.. the D700 is a pro module, same module as the D3 and D3x. The AF on the 5D2 is the same tired system found on the 5D1.. if you want pro AF on a Canon system you have to go to their 1D/1Ds system.
