Nikon’s Coolpix S1000pj to be the Ultimate Combo?

We talked about it yesterday, a rumor regarding a Point & Shoot Camera integrating a projector from Nikon, the VP650… And today it seems this information is not a simple rumor, but real… Not really official, but the website Nikon Rumors got some pictures of this beast. So here you are!

Regarding the specifications, according to Nikon Rumors, our little beast is called Coolpix S1000pj, and is capable to project a 40-inch image on the wall. It comes with a remote control in order to be able to use the projector, or the shutter button…

This model also features a 12.1Mpix sensor with a 5x Optical zoom Nikkor lens (28mm wide Angle)…

Lastly, for the price, you can expect something like $699, or €489.

Not sure if this projector will be really usefull… Ok, it will be probably a nice stuff if you need to show the pics you took on the go… It will avoid to bring AV connector in order to plug it on the TV…. After, it also will depend on the projector quality. Will it also be able to project video? But in this case, does the S1000pj feature a video editing function… Anyway, we will have to wait for more official information regarding this little beast!

PS: Thank elvaltiel!
