New AVCHD PRO Camcorder from Panasonic Bundled with EDIUS Neo 2

The AVCHD is today’s codec for shooting HD video with compact camcorders and cameras (Lumix GH1), and if this codec is impressive it has yet to be used in a compact professional camcorder like Panasonic’s latest little wonder, the AG-HMC45U ACCCAM.
Stuffed with a 3Mos progressive sensor (3.05Mpix 1/4.1 type), it records video in full HD (1920×1080) at 24Mbps (the Lumix GH1 supports only 17Mbps Max)… and lets you record up to 180 minutes worth of video on a 32GB SDCH card or 720 minutes worth of video at 6Mbps.
More good news is the EDIUS Neo 2 bundle, a pretty good NLE for basic needs, especially when you know thet EDIUS Neo 2 supports SpursEngine cards and gives blasting fast encoding speed (we use both Final Cut Pro 6.05 and EDIUS Broadcast here at Akihabara News)…
The AVCCAM AG-HMC45U will be available in Japan in August for 266,700 Yen including EDIUS Neo 2 (€2830).
