    That lens actually combines two different 2K sections of the 4K chip, by overlapping them on screen. This is beneficial because both L and R frames are projected *at the same time*, whereas the other single-projector 3D systems need to “flash” them alternatively at 96 or 144 fps.

    So, the maximum resolution when used in stereo mode is 2K, not 4K.
