VPI Scoutmaster II, the €3925 Turntable
I’m not sure who’d want to spend 525,000 Yen (€3925) in this turntable, but the TEAC VPI Scoutmaster II is apparently worth it (according to TEAC of course).
Besides its interesting design and price, it’s worth noticing that its platter is made from a huge aluminum block and weights 8.8kg… While the overall weight 24kg in total.
The goal of a heavy turntable is to annihilate all possible vibrations to get the purest sound possible… And to be honest with you I’d love to see a demo of it…

I’m bit confused here: isn’t Scoutmaster made by VPI Industries? Am I wrong or, maybe, Teac bought VPI?
