Pentax Optio W80 Available in July

Yesterday Pentax announced a new waterproof point & shoot camera, the Optio W80, which will be available in July. Resistant up to 5 meters, shock proof (up to 1 meter), cold-proof (-10 degrees Celsius) and dust-proof, it features a 12.1Mpix sensor, 5x internal optical zoom with a wide angle 28mm lens, an ISO Speed from 64 to 6400, as well as a 2.5’’ LCD Monitor, and an SD / SDHC slot.

Capable of shooting video in 720/30p, the Optio W80 is also equipped with the usual face detection (up to 32 faces), Smile Shutter and Blink Detection.

Price: 40 000 Yen in Japan (€29.
