Daewoo LUCOMS Solo Tablet C920-mini, Another Atom Powered Tablet PC

Straight from Korea here Daewoo’s C920-mini, a tablet PC like convertible Netbook, powered by an Atom N270, with 1GB of RAM, Intel 945 Express, 60GB of HDD (1.8” @ 4200rpm), a 8.9” touchscreen with 1024×600 resolution, a 1.3Mpix webcamera with a total weight of 1.21kg at 241.4×209.3×27.7.

Unfortunately sold with XP Home (not the tablet PC Edition), unless you install 7 on this baby you won’t fully enjoy the tablet experience.

    These are Intel Calssmate PCs and are sold in the United States. Their configuration varies depending on the vendor.

    There are three vendors in the United States listed on the website.

    I forgot to mention, these systems are fully functional tablets. It seems that Intel has bundled these unit with the software needed to function as full tablet.

    It would still be interesting to see how this unit would work with Win7 and portable apps on it.

    The unit can be upgraded to 2GB using a Kingston memory module that sells for under $30.

    The only drawbacks are the HD interface is PATA and the SD reader is just and SD reader according to the listed specifications.

    Classmate PC’s were and are Intel’s unit to compete with the OLPC.
