Interop 09: NTT IT Tenoripop Concept

NTT IT, a branch of the giant NTT, displayed thier Tenoripop Concept (Te No Ri = “In the Hand” or “hand built”) at Interop … Simply put, the concept is allow people interact with images or video.

In the video below you’ll see a NTT researcher holding two characters in each hand, and mix them together when both hands join.

If this demonstration may not have immediate possible applications, Tenoripop could be used in different circumstances like:

1) You’re in department store and want map information to a specific area, just join your hands face up to get a map (virtual map) in your palms, close your hands to close the map.

2) Another example with the same movement of both your hands could allow you to get more information regarding a product your looking at.

This is pretty cool and I hope to see more Tenoripop implementation soon in real life.
