Three New Sony Headphones
This morning Sony announced three new sets of headphones.

The MDR-NC300D, are noise canceling in ear headphones offering three different modes for NC: A (General Mode and Movie), B (Airplane Mode) and C (Train, Bus, Car, Office, Air Condition… Mode), that suppresses up to 98.4% of undesired noise. Sony announced a sensitivity of 6Hz – 24,000Hz, an impedance of 16Ω, and 16mm drivers.
Besides these nice earphones, Sony also introduced the MDR-NC33, and MDR-NC600D:
- MDR-NC33, the NC300D little brother, suppresses up to 90% of undesired noise. They offers a frequency response of 10Hz – 22,000Hz, a sensitivity of 98dB/mW (NC ON) and 99dB/mW (NC OFF), and 13.5mm drivers.
- MDRN600D, the MDR-NC500D’s successor, is an “over-head” headphone that suppresses up to 99% of undesired noise. They provide 40mm Neodymium driver units, a sensitivity of 102dB/mW, an impedance of 40Ω, and a frequency response of 5Hz – 24,000Hz.
