Toshiba Upgrade Their SS RX2 Notebook with a 512GB SSD
For only 398,000 Yen (€3080), here’s the Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ. It’s a standard SS RX2, with its Core 2 Duo SU9400 (1.40GHz), 3GB of RAM, Intel GS45 Express, DVD Super Multi and a 12.1” WXGA LCD as well as the usual suspects, like WiFi a/b/g/n, Bleutooth, Gigabit…. And a 512GB SSD with pretty decent specs, offering for example a reading speed of 230MB/s and 180MB/s writing speed, that is, according to Toshiba, eight times faster than a 5400rmp 2.5” HDD.

There’s a typo in the text.. Either it is the 512MB in spec or 512GB in title. I doubt the “512MB” is right though…I guess Bio Fingerprint Reader is a usual trait of SS RX2 now too…
For just a little bit over 3k Euro, I doubt it is 512MB SSD. Definitely 512GB SSD with the giga, and the drive alone probably costs 50% of the laptop price. But still, it is not the largest, I think 1TB is the largest SSD drive at the moment.
