Nikon D5000, In Da House

Yesterday we received a D5000 from Nikon with a stock lens (18-55mm). You won’t believe it but this is my first time with a Nikon DSLR… Interesting camera with good potential when it comes to photos… And if you are curious about the video, let’s say that so far I’m not impressed…

Be patient, our review is coming soon!

Is the removable screen the only (visible) difference with the D90?

There are several differences, including cheaper body. You can see detailed comparisons on DPReview or DCResource.

I saw some otaku guy on Sunday using a D5000 to snap shots at a matsuri in Kanda. His camera was all decked out with accessories. He had the GPS unit and remote, and used the flexible screen to hold the camera over his head and take shots above the crowd. I had my D90 and sort of wished I had a flexible display as well. But at least I didn’t look like a geek.
