Sea & Sea DX-2G… Don’t Call Me Ricoh GX200

The Japanese Company Sea&Sea announced today their new underwater camera bundle, the DX-2G… This bundle includes not only a waterproof housing set but also a strangely familiar 12.1Mpix camera the 2G, looks like a Ricoh GX200 clone.
Not only does the 2G feature a similar casing as the Ricoh GX200, but it also has the same basic specs with a 12.1Mpix sensor, same ISO speed, Same Scene Mode, same LCD, Same… SAME EVERYTHING in fact!
While Sea & Sea denies there are any resemblances whatsoever between the 2G and the GX200, when speaking with them we sensed some tension with the Sea & Sea representative on the phone regarding this question…
(The only difference between the GX200 and the 2G is the Sea & Sea underwater mode…)

Since the GX200 is a quite decent camera, we have high hopes it will take amazing underwater photos!
