Two New Sony DATA Video Projectors with “BrightEra” and Short Focus Lenses

So far Sanyo is the leading company when it comes to short focus video projectors, but it seems that our friends at Sony are trying their best with today’s latest data projectors, the VPL-EX7 and VPL-EX70.

These two video projectors need to be at a distance of 1.8m to project a 60” size worth screen with a 1024×768 resolution.

If both feature a shot focal lens, only the VPL-EX70 is labeled as BrighEra with a 900:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 2600 lumens, while the VPL-EX7 has a 500:1 contrast ratio and a 2000 lumens brightness.
