NEC’s Eco Friendly Wireless Router

NEC released two new wireless Lan routers from the AtermWR8150N Series, (BGN), with an Eco Button, when pushed switches off ALL LEDs except the Power to provide 30% less power consumption. I don’t see how this really saves a lot of energy considering led’s hardly use any.

If they had change the product so that it uses less electricity to power and cool the unit then it

If they also had a feature of going into standby mode or lower bandwidth when it’s idle that could work too.
