Yepp Q2… A Cute Little DAP from Samsung

Here’s the Yepp Q2, Samsung’s latest DAP to be available in Korea. Supporting both MP3 and WMA, and MPEG-4 video, with a storage capacity ranging from 4GB to 16GB, the Q2 provides up to 50hrs of continuous playtime. It also features a nice 2.4” LCD, DNSe 3.0, an FM radio tuner, mini games, text viewer… Pricewise expect something around €135 for the 16GB version.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.,announced today the launch of Samsung Q2, the premium MP3 Player with intuitive user interface and the best sound quality.

The Q2 is equipped with the customizable ‘User Button,’ that enables users to set their frequently-used menu such as adding to playlist, rewinding audio/video around 10 seconds, or zooming photo as a hot key. Along with the customizable user button, Samsung Q2 maximizes the user benefits with the ‘Auto bookmark’ feature, storing 10 latest video clips, and the ‘advanced music search’ feature, indicating the latest updated music and the most frequently listening music.

To ensure listeners experience the most natural, full-bodied sound possible, the Q2 incorporates Samsung’s most up-to-date DNSe 3.0 sound enhancement technology. With DNSe 3.0 enabled, users can enjoy sound quality that more accurately matches the tone and feel of original source. The Audio Upscale feature helps restoring missing audio element from the compression. Concert Hall feature offers several different modes for listeners to feel vividly as if they are in concert hall or cafe.

Besides the quality sound, Samsung Q2 is armed with the latest multimedia features including WMV and MPEG4 video play, FM Radio, and various games on crystal clear 2.4” TFT-LCD display with a mere 9.9mm slim design. It has three color options of Onyx Black, Pearl White, and Turkish Blue, so that users can choose their preferred color to fit with their style. To maximize users’ mobile entertainment experience, Samsung Q2 supports a long enough battery life, which is able to play 50 consecutive hours of music.

Jooho Song, Vice President of Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics said, “Samsung Q2 is the perfect mixture of the best sound quality, premium design, and intuitive user experience. I am very pleased to introduce the Q2, jewel-like MP3 player.”

“Samsung continues to introduce the cutting edge MP3 products lineup to adopt consumers’ unmet needs and desires.” He added.

Samsung MP3 Player Q2 will be available in US and European countries by the end of April and soon will be launched in other countries as well.
