FineDrive iQ500, a New PNS From Korea

The FineDrive iQ500 is an all in one GPS powered by an ARM11 600MHz CPU, available only in Korea. It can either be used as a regular car GPS or a PMP. Sold with either 4GB or 8GB (SD card) of memory, the iQ500 supports SDHC cards up to 32GB, has a 7” (800×480) touchscreen, runs on Windows embedded CE 6.0, with a GPS module, DMB TV tuner, MP4, ASF, AVI, MPEG and WMV video and MP3, AAC, AMR, QCP, WAV, FLAC, MID, OGG and WMA audio support.
It weighs only 370g with a size of 186 x 120 x 24mm.

I’m sure there would be plenty of hackers out there who could change the language to English or even install our own GPS application on this. It’s a near perfect device. I wonder why none of these make it to the English speaking world.
None make it to the English speaking world because then the service provider will either cripple it or charge exhorbitant monthly subscription fees. I just purchased a similar device yesterday. For no additional fee, it contains every apartment complex, every restaurant, every post office, every firehouse, even every speed bump and speed camera! And, it warns you (in Korean) when you’re over the speed limit and getting close to one. And all this literally out of the box, along with TV stations, radio, even MP3 and karaoke capability (in my car, only for the passengers
Changing the language to english, and changing the map to english are two very different procedures.
What I am looking for, is a speed/safety camera database for South Korea and Japan. I would like to import those into my Garmin GPS as POI’s. Any ideas?
