    This is a good player!

Its been out in US/EU for a while it seems and you can get it in the US for about $200

Japan price on Kakaku, com is roughly 35.000 yen.
(why are japanese products cheaper in the US than in Japan? ;(

    It does 1080p/60 and 1080p/24,
    Upscales DVDs to 1080p
(no Reon or QDEO chip, but you only need those for upscaling anyway)

And Bitstreams all audio codecs including DTS HD master audio and Dolby True HD

For the asking price its a damn good product.

im sure it will come down in price a bit more soon.

I have one of these – it’s a great player but it could benefit from come kind of quick-start feature to get the menus up in less than 30 seconds. I realise HD menus mean more graphics but come on!

The Aquos link works well too, identifying itself in the list of inputs and changing channel as needed. Styling is nice, but I feel it could match the Aquos TV line better.
