Sharp Announce Their Latest Color Monitor for Solar Panels

Installing solar panels on your roof is a nice thing to do, but being able to monitor your power input and output on a shiny little color LCD or even from your TV or laptop is great for the geek inside of everyone. This is exactly what the JH-RWL1 is about.

Once installed, the JH-RWL1 provides details like how much energy you produce, energy you have stored, consumption, money you are spending or earning once you sell your energy surplus… But once connected to your network you can get this information directly from your AQUOS TV, your PC, and phone… Your information and data can also be sent to your power company to help you increase production or reduce consumption and get a real time monitor from your power company to fix problems and run diagnostics.

An interesting concept that if it’s setup well could reduce your power consumption and help power companies to get real time information of what they need to produce or trade your power the most efficiently possible.
