Anime Great Hisayuki Toriumi Passed Away Last January…

I am sorry for the late news, and I have to thanks Tim Maughan for his excellent blog on animation for the info.

Hisayuki Toriumi, the man behind Battle of the Planets and Mysterious Cities of Gold, two of my favorite animes when I was kid, passed away the 26th of January… I can’t tell you how sad I am to hear this… I’m sure many of you have also experienced his work.

Thanks to Tim for this piece of news.
