Sharp New Aquos D Series Eco-Friendly TVs

Sharp announced a little update for their Aquos line-up with the D series. Available in 32″, 26″, and 20”, these HD ready TVs feature a resolution of 1366×768 with a contrast ratio of 3000:1 on the 32” and 1500:1 on both the 26″ and 20”.

The most interesting part of this news is Sharp’s new power consumption technology that spends just 60W per year for the 32” model (compared to the 66W for the previous generation) and provides a CD built to last approximately 60,000 hours, and uses “greener” plastics.
