NDS Flash Cart AMAZINGLY Popular in Japan

I don’t know if you’ve heard this old news, Nintendo Japan and other video game manufacturers are trying to stop ONCE and for all the sales of flash carts in Japan (a nice little cartridge used to play copied games).

As far as I understand it’s legal to sell these cards in Japan as long as you don’t include the necessary software to use them…

I discover many interesting things while taking that train everyday, like the fact that more than two people in three (what we determined) in Japan use their NDS with flash carts…

Who would have figured this, the Japanese aren’t the nice little fellows many people believe, in fact they’re quite… human!

Photo taken this morning on the train.

Or maybe these carts are just incredibly convenient and the game manufactures have their heads too far up their corporate arses to realize what the public actually wants.

  • EG

DrX: I agree. Even if you do own the games, you wouldn’t like to bring them all along.

Agree with you on this one… But unfortunately… we all know what people do with them…

  • Taj

I own a flash cart and still pay for original games, but tend to use the flash cart for convenience rather than sinister reasons. If the allowed you to buy games online and download them to a flash cart, I’m sure sales would go through the roof!
I for one hate to have to carry dozens of easy to loose cartridges around with me!

  • Peterminator

I use the card to watch movies, much more convenient than to lug my laptop around…

the summary reinforces the BS corporate line that carts are only used for illegal downloads. they are used to run perfectly legitimate home brew games, media files and even linux.

ah git off yer hi horses Daimaou

I don’t know if you’ve heard this old news, but flash carts (a nice little cartridge used to do all sorts of things besides playing copied game) are incredibly useful and versatile.

Who would have figured this, you sure didn’t! Moron.
