Kana Micro, Green-House’s Micro DAP

Here’s a cute little DAP from Green-House, the Kana-Micro (GH-KANAMR), at just 55.4x20x10.5mm, 10gm, and available in seven colors.

Similar to the average USB key, the Kan Micro DAP comes with a 2GB Micro SD card and supports MP3, WMA, and WMA DRM files. The only drawback we found is its limited battery lifespan of only 2hrs.. but considering the size the player this shouldn’t surprise anyone.

I like it. It’s cheap, effective, and small. I also like the transparent casing. I miss transparent casing dearly from the 90s…

Just picked up a dark grey one in Akihabara for about $10 and is a nice little MP3 player. No SD Card came with it, perhaps initial initial release on info gave people the impression that the maximum size card it could use meant the actual memory. Not the case.
Only major drawback to me is lack of volume control. Other than that, it is easy to use and works well.

Correction: Figured out the volume controls. So about the only real downside would be the battery life. Added a collection of music to try out and the sound quality is pretty good. Quite capable for it’s cheap price. I’ve been asked to pick up a few next time I fly over there.
