MXSP-D160, a New iPOD Dock Speaker from Maxell

Searching for a compact iPod speaker for use on the go or at the office? Here’s the MXSP-D160, a compact iPod cradle speaker that’s powered by either AA batteries or an AC adapter.
 Compatible with iPod 4G until the iPod Touch 2G… it has an output of only 2×1.8W and weighs only 435g.

I wonder if it can be used with iPod’s alarm clock function…
