Three New Compact HD and SD Cameras from Canon Japan

A couple of minutes ago Canon Japan announced not one but three compact video cameras, the iVIS HF20, iVIS HF10 and iVIS FS21. The first two models use AVCHD, while the thrid MPEG-2.

iVIS HF S10 features 32GB of internal memory, a SD/SDHC slot, record video in 1080/60i, uses the AVCHD Codec, has a 8.59Mpix censor for still pictures, and uses the DIGIC DV III image processor, a 10x optical zoom, at a size of 70x69x136mm weighing 450g.

iVIS HF S20, also features 32GB of internal memory and a SD/SDHC slot, record video in 1080/60i. It uses the AVCHD codec, but only has a 3.89Mpix censor for still pictures, a 15x optical zoom along side the DIGIC DV III image processor, all packed together in a lighter (340g) and smaller body of 70x62x124mm.

iVIS FS21, the low end version, only has 16GB of internal memory, records video in SD format, uses MPEG-2, features a 10.7Mpix censor for still photos, the DIGIC DV II image processor, a 48x zoom (optical + digital) at a total weight of only 225g and size of 55x59x121mm.
